Get Involved

At Our Lady of the Rosary, we welcome the opportunity to work collaboratively with parents in a variety of ways. Some examples of the different ways parents may become involved, include:

  • assisting in classrooms

  • taking reading groups

  • supervising the Multilit reading program

  • assisting to facilitate extracurricular activities, such as Chess

  • coaching sporting teams

  • acting as officials at sporting events

  • assisting in the school library

  • fundraising

  • assisting at school excursions and camps

Class Parent Representative

Each class has a Class Parent Representative who is a key parent in helping to disseminate information when needed, organising parents to assist in class events and facilitating social events for the children and parents.

Please note that all volunteer workers in schools are required to undergo child protection training. Visit the Parramatta Catholic Education Office website 'Building Child Safe Communities' for more information.

Parents and Friends Committee (P & F)

Involvement in our Parents & Friends is one way that parents participate in decision-making at OLOR. This group meets once a term and is affiliated with the Parramatta Diocesan Parent Representative Council. Representatives of our school council attend the diocesan meetings as our delegates.

If you are interested in joining the committee as a general member, or just want to put your hand up to assist, please let me know. Any help is most welcome. Please contact Edwina Heiler on 0424151634
