Students at Our Lady of the Rosary learn from a team of professional and supportive teachers.
Our teachers are highly skilled and passionate about providing the best learning opportunities for every student. Our commitment to best teaching and learning practice is supported by an extensive professional development program for all staff. Our Lady of the Rosary provides students with a high quality education that prepares them for their future.
It is the quality of our teachers that makes all the difference.
Our school leaders, teachers and support staff know what it takes to develop a love of learning.
They meet each student where they are on their learning journey, and challenge and support them to become the best learner they can be.
Our teachers are lifelong learners themselves
The majority of Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese teachers have more than five years of teaching experience and hold two or more professional qualifications. We invest in continuous staff training, through our own in-house professional learning programs, to coaching, to hosting guest speakers and sharing best practice with other school systems and industry partners.
We encourage personal development, with a significant number of our teachers holding a Masters Degree and many more in the process of obtaining additional qualifications. Our support staff are also very experienced with outstanding skills and in many cases, specialised training.
Leader in Learning
Our Lady of the Rosary is a school where all children are encouraged to achieve their best. Our flexible learning model enables us to respond to students’ needs and build our learners’ capacity to build relationships, work collaboratively. Working in collaborative teams means that our teachers draw on each other’s knowledge, skills and experience to put effective support in place for students and identify and plan for next steps in learning.
Teacher
At Our Lady of the Rosary, we teach the fundamental knowledge and skills to build knowledge, develop reflective and analytical skills to make meaning, and apply understanding by transferring what students have learnt across different contexts. In addition, we have a range of support structures and intervention programs to ensure that we can support students who need additional support.
Teacher
In our classrooms at Our Lady of the Rosary, we incorporate the teachings of the Catholic faith into our daily lessons, encouraging students to reflect on their beliefs and how they can live them out in the world. I am proud to be part of the OLOR community where we have a shared commitment to nurturing not just academic excellence but also spiritual growth. We inspire our students to reach their full potential and become responsible, engaged citizens.
Religious Education Coordinator
Our Lady of the Rosary is a Catholic community that leads children to know and love Jesus and his teachings. We have a strong emphasis on putting the Catholic faith into action through liturgy, prayer, social justice and engagement with our parish community. Our Founding Values, grounded in the charisms of the Conventual Franciscan Friars and Sisters of Mercy who established OLOR, demonstrate to all that our faith is lived out in everything that we do.
At Our Lady of the Rosary Primary we encourage and celebrate each student’s spiritual, emotional and academic growth
