CSPD school libraries are physical and digital places of inquiry and reading.
They provide access to a range of resources that help students on their learning journey and help inspire purposeful learning.
Through access to our library resources and services, students develop a range of learner dispositions and capabilities to cultivate a culture of curiosity, creativity, imagination and innovation.
Our physical library
Our Lady of the Rosary library provides a stimulating and friendly space with a multimedia area and quiet areas for reading and storytelling. There is also a large area for independent research.
Each week, the students are able to borrow from the large and varied collection of novels, junior fiction, picture books and nonfiction texts. Book Week is celebrated every year with a colourful Book Week Parade, authors visit and a book fair. The students have the opportunity to participate in the NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge each year, as well as other events organised by the Children Book Council of Australia.
Students can volunteer as library monitors who assist with tasks during lunchtime. They help ensure that the library is an organised and happy space.
eLibrary
All our students have access to the eLibrary - the ultimate digital learning tool for reading and learning.
The virtual library provides unlimited access to thousands of e-books, e-magazines, audiobooks, videos, research information and even bilingual resources with just the click of a button.
