This morning, our School Leaders represented OLOR at the Castle Hill ANZAC Day Dawn Service at Centenary of ANZAC Reserve. We honour those who have served our nation. We also particularly acknowledge those within our families who have served, or serve in our defence forces today. Lest we forget.

With Mothers Day approaching, we invite our families to join with us for our Mothers Day celebrations on Thursday 8 May. The morning will begin with a Celebration of the Word of God in Thanksgiving for Mothers at 9:00 am in the hall, followed by a 'rug and read' morning tea in the school grounds until 10:40 am. We look forward to celebrating with you.

With Anzac Day being observed on Friday, we invite families to join us for our Anzac Day Prayer and Commemorative Service on Thursday 1 May at 11:30 am in the hall. Additionally, OLOR Student Leaders will represent the school at the local dawn service this Friday, which everyone is welcome to attend: Date: Friday 25 April Time: 6:00 am Location: Centenary of Anzac Reserve, cnr Wrights and Green Roads, Castle Hill We look forward to being able to acknowledge this important national day.

As we continue to celebrate Jesus' resurrection through the Easter Season, join us when we return to school next Wednesday. Our school Easter celebrations will begin with a Celebration of the Word of God at 9:00 am in the hall, followed by our Easter Hat Parade. We look forward to seeing you.

Today we celebrate Holy Thursday. We remember Jesus' Last Supper, where he washed the disciples' feet and gave us the Eucharist - the gift of his own body and blood made present to us when we celebrate Mass.

With Holy Week during the school holidays next week, we have taken time in prayer to remember Jesus' journey to the cross. After recalling Palm Sunday, the Last Supper and Jesus' praying the Garden of Gethsemane, our Holy Week commemorations culminated today in grades praying the Stations of the Cross at the Franciscan Friary. Congratulations to Assisi (Yellow), Cupertino (Green) and McAuley (Blue) houses for earning 1000 tokens of respect! As a reward, students in those houses can wear an accessory in their house colour this Friday, 11 April. Apart from the accessory, children are still to wear their usual Friday uniform.
