Welcome back for 2025! We hope that everyone has had a great Christmas and is enjoying the school holiday break. It won't be long before school starts for another year. No doubt thoughts about back-to-school shopping and getting back into the routine of uniforms, lunches and the daily school run are already starting to cross your mind (if they haven't, then well done... and sorry for bringing it up!). As we start to get ready for another exciting year, we'll start sharing some information and reminders. A HEART FELT THANK YOU I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank the OLOR community for their warm wishes, comments and very generous gifts, as I farewell OLOR. I have enjoyed my 7 years with the OLOR community watching the students grow and thrive. I have fond memories of our many community events and getting to know the students and their families. The quote that I have relied on over the past few days (through many tears) has been: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened!" As I walk out of the gates of Our Lady of the Rosary Kellyville, I smile as I can truly say it's been a priviledge that it happened for me! Goodbye and Good Luck Mrs Digwood! Yesterday, OLOR students and staff gathered together to farewell our Assistant Principal of seven years, Mrs Digwood, and thank her for all the wonderful gifts she has brought to our community. Each grade presented Mrs Digwood with flowers that symbolised the qualities that she has shared with our school and that make her the beautiful person that she is. Students and staff shared their own messages on behalf of the community. Our celebration concluded with the whole school singing a special performance of the song "Unwritten", especially for Mrs Digwood. Thank you, Mrs Digwood, for all that you have brought to OLOR and for the many ways you have enriched our school. You have left your mark on this community, and we wish you all the very best as you embark on the next step of our journey as Principal of Our Lady of Lourdes, Baulkham Hills.
